$200 Astronomy Science Fair Prize

Astronomy Nova Scotia will be giving out a $200 prize for the best astronomy project in honour of the International Year of Astronomy at the 2009 Team Nova Scotia Showcase, April 30 to May 2 at Saint Mary's University in Halifax (see attached poster).

The Team Nova Scotia Showcase is a provincial science fair showcase event for grade 7-12 regional science fair winners who will be competing at the Canada Wide Science Fair, this year in Winnipeg in May. The Showcase is a three-day team-building and media event that celebrates the accomplishments of these young scientists, rewarding the students for their hard work with three days of scientific and social activities.
