Canada Science Olympics Challenge - October, 2008
Posted: May 16, 2008

The second annual Science Olympics for Grade 4 and 5 classes will take place during National Science and Technology week in October. Over 100 students came out to participate last year for this carbon-neutral event at Saint Mary's University.

A fun and interactive competition, the Science Olympics gives students a chance to practice their problem solving skills while gaining a new appreciation for critical thinking and problem solving.

All activities that take place will be mailed to each elementary school across Nova Scotia so that other schools can hold their own Science Olympics.

The Science Olympics is a joint initiative of the Department of Education, Conserve Nova Scotia, and NS YES!.
