In 2008, students will display their innovations, experiments and studies to the public on Friday, May 2 and Saturday, May 3 during the Team Nova Scotia Showcase. The event will be hosted in the McNally Theatre Auditorium at Saint Mary's University.

'We are proud to celebrate the achievements of these outstanding students. They are all examples of how hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm for learning can be rewarding', said Cliff Coveyduc, program director of NS YES, the provincial umbrella organization for science fairs. 'We wish these young ambassadors the best of luck as they represent Nova Scotia at this national event'.

The Team Nova Scotia Showcase brings together all students headed to the national science fair for an open house event. The students will participate in a variety of educational, social and cultural activities geared to build team spirit and give them exposure to the scientific community.

The event is presented by NS YES and is hosted by Saint Mary's University Faculty of Science.

This year's Showcase Events include:

Kartbahn Indoor Racing, a Tour of Bedford Institute of Oceanography, a Tour of the SMU Chemistry and Physics Labs and Burke-Gaffney Astronomical Observatory, a CEED Entrepreneurship Presentation and much more....
