"Science Takes Flight" Bursary:

This is an opportunity for your organization to provide participation costs for one young scientist to compete at the annual Canada-Wide Science Fair.

Nova Scotia School Board Association (NSSBA) Annual General Meeting - May, 2011: School boards, as well as teachers, need to understand the importance of science fairs in order for province-wide participation to increase substantially.

Atlantic Science Teachers’ (AST) Conference - October, 2010: This event is a great way to reach our prime target for science fair promotion: science teachers. This annual conference is held each October, attracting over 800 science teachers from across Nova Scotia.

Project-Based Learning Presentations - Fall, 2010: Travel around Nova Scotia giving talks to teachers about how to incorporate science fairs into lesson plans. The program was piloted in 2008 with rave reviews; we found that there was a real need for this kind of support in order to increase science fair participation.
- Travel and accommodations: $10,000
